Jes Laverack | Director
Jes Laverack is a Sydney film director born in Australia. Jes’ career began in 2008 as an actor, where he worked on various productions, including The Great Gatsby. His education in film started in theatre and transitioned to screen performance at Screenwise, inspiring him to pursue further education in the industry behind the camera. This led him to study at SAE Sydney, where he earned an Associate Degree with a GPA of 6.5, achieving a distinction.
Jes launched his professional career at Reel Focus as a content producer. To build on this success, he founded his own film production company, Jes Laverack Films.
Under his direction, Jes Laverack Films produced the mini-documentary “Aspire to Inspire” (2022) and is currently working on the LGBTQI+ web series “Kit.” Jes’ innovative vision and dedication to storytelling continue to drive his success in the industry. He has also produced the proof of concept "Break Room" (2024) as part of the pitch for his first feature-length film.
Perle Isimbi | Producer
Perle Isimbi is a Sydney-based Creative Producer with over 5 years of experience in the industry. She began her career as an entertainment journalist and presenter at TV/Radio 10 in Rwanda, and later moved to Australia to further her career in film production.
Perle earned her Bachelor's Degree in Film Production, which provided her with a solid foundation in the technical aspects of the craft. This education equipped her with the skills necessary to bring creative visions to life on the big screen, leading her to collaborate with notable entities like Jes Laverack Films.
She has worked with renowned companies and productions such as BuzzFeed, Australia's Got Talent, RMK Management, and Lego Masters. Perle played a crucial role in productions like "Aspire to Inspire" and "No Ordinary Love,” and is currently producing the web series "Kit."
Beyond her technical expertise, Perle possesses a strong passion for storytelling. She understands the power of narratives to inspire, entertain, and provoke thought. This profound appreciation for the craft drives her to establish herself as a significant figure in the industry and to create impactful content that leaves a lasting impression on viewers.
